Windows Clock

Go to solution Solved by Gyawdyr,

Moved my computer form home to the dorm and it syncs perfectly.  I'm guessing my university's ITS department had a time override or something.

When there is a CMOS battery issue, Computer Date/Time always reset on each Computer Turn ON or Restart.
Maybe you have selected a Wrong Time zone.

why not just sync it? also, what clock are you referring to?

I'm referring to the time at the bottom right of the desktop.  Whenever I sync it it gives me the error

"An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.nist.gov.

This operation returned because the timeout period expired."

Yeah just change the sync website and do 'update now'.

Just curious, what are you comparing your time to? I'm comparing mine to Uhrzeit and it's spot on.
