R9 Nano, GTX 980, or R9 270x Xfire?

I currently have an R9 270x 2gb from sapphire. I wanted to upgrade to either an R9 nano or gtx 980 since they are about equal price & performance. Would I be better off buying another 270x for crossfire and saving a bunch of money, or is the performance bump on an old card not even worth it? Any advice appreciated.

R9 fury non nano non x.

Best performance out of all of them.

Unless you can OC the nano with some aftermarket cooling but then you may as well splurge and get the X.

R9 Nano is about 4% faster than a 980, more power-efficient and has better DX12 support. Go for that

270X crossfire is pointless. I vote R9 Nano.

That being said it does throttle a little bit. Once you get the money water cool that sucker and get some moar performance.

It does since the whole thing is optimized to remain at 175W and 75*C (I believe that was the temp) while running as quiet as possible.

In Spain, the Nano is cheaper than the Fury. I don't if it is the same where you live. I would get the nano

It is a highly downclocked Fury X. So much so that the normal fury outperforms it. Look at benchmarks.

None, 4gb vram is getting filled up pretty quick ( and yes at 1080p ), either 390 Nitro or wait for new releases.

As someone who upgraded from 270X to 390 2 months ago, I suggest you to wait for Polaris/pascal.

 

But to answer your question ... don't CF!

 

I vote for R9 nano, and you can even buy full waterblock to OC it to the limit!
