final help

Go to solution Solved by DarkRuskov,

if you have 4 slots go for the 2x8go.

for the gpu, if you can, just wait a little bit for a new one.

I would ask how many ram slots you have.

If it's 4 like most desktop mother boards then get two 8GB stick and take advantage of paring, if it's a dual slot then go with the 16gb as a future upgrade wouldn't waste your current memory stick.

Similarly right now I would go with the GTX 970 if you wanted to save a few pennies with all the love Nvidia drivers have been earning as of late.

Get 2x8GB and if you can survive on integrated graphics for a few months then wait for Polaris otherwise get the 390X.

so final question how good is the igpu of 6700k?

Wait what's your whole build and budget? It's really not going to be worth spending all the extra money for the 6700K, if you need performance the 5820K costs the same in most places, and otherwise an i7 6700 turbos to 4ghz, meaning you really aren't going to get much faster with the 6700K.

Also what's your display set up? Is it a single 1080p 60hz display? Also what are you using your PC for? If it's pure gaming you really don't need much more than an i5 6500

The iGPU in non broadwell desktop chips is basically worthless, it can do older games alright though, but just buy an entry level GPU, or a 380 4GB

There's basically no reason to buy a 970 over a 390(non X) if they cost the same, the 390 is generally faster and gets pretty sizable gains from DX12.

This is the same price but with a 390 already in it lol, like I said, not worth the money, it'll hardly end faster in the end when you've spent that extra 200

the low end MSI boards pretty much all have USB 3.1 and solid power delivery on them.

Also don't waste money on 3000mhz RAM unless you have a very specific use case that really needs fast RAM, it won't matter for gaming if you have a single stick of RAM
