I loaded up minecraft for my brother to play and i was like "whaT?" I was only getting 40-100fps with my specs. Anyone know a workaround this>

I think your CPU is just not powerful enough to be honest.

When I played Minecraft years ago I had a Intel core duo 2 paired with a GTX 280 and pulled over 700+ fps I doubt a 7year old cpu can do better than my one right now?

Years ago Minecraft was not intensive.

Athlon X2 for only 27.31$   Best part lists at different price points   Windows 1.01 running natively on an Eee PC

games update buddy, and updates mean it can up the system requirements for that game.
