Green Horizontal Lines

So, I booted up my system (secondary) and I noticed a bunch of green vertical lines on the screen. Almost nothing could be seen behind them. It's a GTX 650ti by ASUS and sometimes it doesn't even boot. I plugged in my GTX 980 into the system and everything seems to be working fine. While I had the 980 in, I checked in device manager and it said "code 43" and it wasn't working properly. Is there any solution/cause for this. I really don't feel like dropping a $100 on a gpu right now.

i think the GPU is broken here  sucks to be you but maby you can get something used for cheap?

try re-installing the gpu drivers

get an older version like 361.91 instead of the new 364.xx, see if this fixes the issue

This sadly didn't work. Any other suggestions

Try different Outputs, Resolutions. Different monitors if the problem persists and u have rolled back drivers and so forth. Then maybe have a look at the card and check for dust and even if it doesn't look dusty give it a clean ( if you have a can of compressed air give that a few squirts in it). Even after all that if its still giving u the same problem. Then I would say your gpu is on its way out.

Different outputs probably your best bet, also try underclocking by a bit, though it's unlikely to fix it. It's quite dying IMO.

 

If it gets the lines a bit after turning it on, clean the dust etc. make sure temps are cool.
