CPU exceeds set clock speeds!? Why?

Auto over-clock? KInda cool but unsure about cooling though.

I have an AMD FX-6100 (Yes,I KNOW IT IS ANCIENT and I probably will upgrade soon) and while my CPU was at 100% I noticed at HW Monitor that my clock speed went up to ~3.7Ghz! Why did that happen???? I do NOT have Turbo Core enabled and it is NOT overclocked.

Did I push the limits so much that it had to overclock to handle it?

Thx man! I was terrified for a while! The temps where OK it was 47 degrees Celsius at full load and 19 degrees Celsius idle...

Well, programs aren't perfect I suppose. Neither is hardware, though.
I would assume turbo mode may not fully be disabled.

You really have nothing to worry about. That's pretty cold.

Thx... I assume it had something to do with the auto overclock feature enabled on my bios

But I have Turbo Boost disabled in the BIOS... and all were at 3.7GHZ

I used to have the stock AMD Cooler(and of course it is inadequate). As for Turbo Boost, i got confused, i meant turbo core...

Anyway... I was running an Antivirus scan and Cinebench to see how it would affect my resources... I think it was because of that...
