Graphics Cards Compatibility

Hey, so I got a Radeon R7370 for my custom build, and my brother just gave me his old R7800. I have a 630W power supply. Is it possible to use these two cards together with a bridge? Thanks.

Depends. If it is a 7850, yes (if I remember correctly, they are the same thing).

Oh, I just checked your PSU. I wouldn't attempt it, unless your CPU is super effecient.

What are the rest of your specs?

Also what EXACT Power supply is it?

It would also work with a 7870, so it doesn't matter which 7800 series card it is. They're both Pitcairn.

 

The question is what particular power supply you have, and what the rest of the system specs are. 630W could definitely be enough, but it depends.

the EXACT power supply is a Raidmax RX-630SS Hybrid Series

Also, would the two cards still be able to use crossfire? Theyre both Radeon cards so I assume they would...

It's no good with that raidmax power supply. You'd need to upgrade it, but that's probably a good idea anyway.
