PSU and case compatibility

ATX PSUs up to 180/170mm with a bottom 120/140mm fan installed; When not using any bottom fan location longer PSUs up to 300m can be used - Case specifications

Package dimensions (cm): 31 x 20x 9.5 - Power Supply specifications

My question is, can this PSU fit in this case?

I'm no Special Agent myself, but my Dad was!

how is this measured? which one is the length `-`

i take 31cm as the length?

if so, 31cm > 300m so yes it'll fit

but your case must be as long as 2 football fields :D

jokes aside, if 31cm is the length and 30cm is the limit, it probably wont fit, especially if its a modular power supply

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Yes I am ... I have all my other parts picked already, just not sure about whether this PSU is going to fit. The case is a Fractal Design Define S Mid Tower with Window Black.

Judging by the picture, its actually 20 cm LONG (front to back) and 31cm wide (side to side).

Then anything should fit, but what's the build, I certainly hope you aren't buying an overclocking CPU for a 60hz display, or a 980ti for a 1080p 60hz display

Could probably afford an i7 6700 by going with one of the $60 MSI boards

and I'd stick to a 390 over a 970 at this point given all the DX12 stuff showing AMD cards getting pretty sizable performance gains with it, while maxwell doesn't have the hardware support for it.

Thanks for replying but the cheapest motherboard from where I come from that supports Intel Socket 1151 is $89....

But your CPU choice is 1151...though I guess for a 144hz display the 6600K is fine
