So then if gaming is your focus throw in this 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display at $550 and that's about it, I'd invest in your display rather than a high end GPU, especially with the new ones coming soon.

If you have the money now just get like a 380X, which won't saturate the 1440p 144hz display, but it'll give you the extra hundred for a few months down the road where that'll get you more performance for your money

 

Could also always run games at 720p to get the 144 fps, it scales well with 1440p
