You have to post the permalink. We can't see the build if you don't.

3k budget and you buy a 1k pc?

i'd swap the i5 to a i7 5960x ;)

and the GPU to 1 or 2 evga 980ti / or wait 1-2months until polaris/pascal arrive

depending on picking 1 980ti or 2 you'd have to add a 100watt stronger psu

if you dont already have nice displays i'd recommend 1 or 2 27" 1440p IPS or 34" 1440p IPS displays for a immersive experience

Spoiler

that`s pretty bad advice IMO.....

If his budget is 3000$, spend close to that, get something like a 5820K, with DDR4 for upgradability.

980ti, yeah seems good, but 100 watt aint enough per GPU, definately not for OC`ing

to game or not to game, that`s the question

100 more than the previous 650w before, 750w should be ok

Spending $300 on a motherboard when your GPU costs $200, means a bit unreasonable.

It's the only decent one I could find to fit with white.

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-sabertoothz170s

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z170pro

These are half the price of the one you found. You won't find a full white motherboard.

Once the components are in you wont be able to see most of the black.

For gaming, you want to focus on CPU & GPU rather than spending so much on a motherboard.
