300 Euro Intel 750 400 GB vs 250 Euro 1 TB 850 Evo?

Gdourado

Hello, how are you?

Title pretty much says it all...

Is the Intel worth it for a X99 5820k gaming build?

There is even a third option... 300 euro 2x 500 GB 850 Evo in Raid0.

Cheers!

a 512gb sm 951 nvme costs 240 euro now and is just as fast (if you dont have an m.2 slots, adapters are like 10-20 bucks).

The extra speed is enough to be noticable, but the difference is nowhere near as big as hdd to regular ssd.

If you need the extra space better go for the 1 tb one.

The Intel is appealing because of the form factor, not having to use Sata cable and Sata power and it looks better to have a Pcie ssd on an atx board that only has one GPU.

850 is bigger and cheaper...

Don't know... :)
