I noticed that my AF120 fans (3) on the top of the case make a lot more noise when the dust filter is on. When I remove it, I notice decreased noise and much more airflow to the hand. Should I get static pressure fans for the top, im getting watercooling parts soon anyways so can I invest into the 3rd empty spot?

Case: Corsair 780T

well, if you're getting new fans, i suggest

NF-F12/silent wings 2

but if you wanna stay with corsair, get their silent edition SP fans

also, you can try lowering the rpm of the AF fans you have, see how it goes

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I always lower the fan speed in normal use with the fan controller, of course its silent then but very minimal airflow

well its a tradeoff between silence and slight increase in temps then

if your temps are fine with the fans spinning slower then i wouldnt bother spending money swapping them tbh

but if you're going to watercool then maybe you can invest in an SP fan or two, but i recommend NF-F12 over corsair fans
