Hi,

Im new here. I need some help with my motherboard. Its ASUS H97M-E. Recently I Upgraded my system RAM from 2x4Gb 1600MHz 1.5v Ram to 4x4Gb 1600Mhz 1.5v Ram.

After installing the rams, My PC wont boot up, Not even the POST screen. After removing atleast 1 ram out of the mobo. It would start.

At first i thought it was one of the ram. But after multiple isolation test and slot test. There was no issue with Ram and ram slots.

I got in touch with ASUS service centre and told them about it, After 2 days of investigation, they came up with this Solution.

They informed me: My Board does not support 4x4Gb 1600Mhz 1.5v RAM. And if I have to use all 4 slots, I need a 1.65v RAM!

When I ask the reason, they had no logical answer.

Now, Is this a mobo bug or this is how rams works? Please help me understand.

Thanks.

My kingston Ram details are below:

2xKTH9600CS/4G

2xKVR16N11S8/4-SP
