Best program to unformat hard drives

Ok so my friend formatted hard and there were some vital documents on that hard drive. So I want to try and try one of these unformat hard drives applications. Maybe he'll succed in retrieving these documents.

 

What i need is free program name

What did you format with? Windows' built-in formatting thing?

Just run recuva to retrieve your data, its free and works on formatted drives

When I reinstalled windows I pressed format on both hards

Just as a heads up, recovery software will only be able to get data if you did a 'quick' format. If you did a 'full' format, you won't be able to get that data back from that drive.
