Right now I am disassembling a X51. I don't know in what direction I should go in with what parts I want. I know in the future I want to be able to upgrade . My biggest problem is on what motherboard to get. The CPU I have currently is a i7-4770, I am running a GTX 770 and 16g ddr3. If you guys could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

other than a gpu upgrade (and probably a psu to power it)

i dont see much of a need to upgrade anything else

though just wait for pascal or polaris unless you're itching for an upgrade

edit: the 770 is still fine anyway...

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

keep the 4770

Get any H97 board thats cheap

Keep the RAM
Get a new case

Get a beefier GPU once pascal/Polaris launches

Ex) 490/1080
Oh and get this https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr OEM PSU's and Motherboards are horrible.

You don't have to upgrade your CPU, RAM, I suggest  motherboard, definitely PSU, definitely GPU, and a new case so everything has room to breathe.

I did definitely plan on keeping the CPU RAM, and for now the GPU. I just didn't know on what board I should get. I definitely know that I will get a new power supply too.
