so I just finish build my brother his pc, upgrade his window 7 to window 10 and install every essential driver. The issue is that the pc does not detect his m.2 ssd. He use asus z97-a series. I check manual and goes through all the tutorial on internet and so far couldnt able to make the pc detect the m.2 ssd. I would love to hear every guide to help me fix this issue.

note: the mobo does support m.2 ssd and there is no LED blink tell me that something is not running well.

Does he use all his SATA ports?  Depending on how some motherboards are configured, some SATA ports may share bandwidth with the M.2 slot.  So if there is something in the SATA ports shared with the M.2 slot, it could disable it.

Edit:  I read the Asus z97-a manual.

It says that the m.2 slot shares bandwidth with the pcie (2.0 x1)  slots 1,2, and that the M.2 interface is disabled by default.

You have to go to your motherboard settings and re-enable it.  But be careful, if you use the M.2 slot you won't be able to use those Pcie slots anymore.
