H55 backplate

I found an H55 for the same price as EVO 212 so I ordered it... (in my country prices are crazy) 

But now I was looking for about installation... so my question is do I need to use the backplate? my case is old and I'll have to remove EVERYTHING to put the backplate...
I have a 3570 +ga-b75 + 7970  (I know I don't need watercooler, but the price is the same as a good aircooler)

My temps are getting a bit high cuz here is a hot place + old small case (thermaltake v2)...

  

 

so... will I need to use the backplate?

yes that is what keeps it attached to the motherboard

Without it, it will just fall right off.

A (high end) air cooler can be better than a H55.

I can change my order until monday. But my options are :

 

Hyper TX3 Evo Cooler Master
Cooler Evercool Transformer 4
CoolerMaster X6 Elite
Thermaltake Nic C4
Water Cooler Cooler Master Seidon 
 
So if there is one that would not need to put a backplate I would prefer
