Steam Files...

I am currently running windows 10 and to make my desktop clear I put all my files in a folder, but when I do that CSGO cant read them or something and it says make sure my steam client is up to date but once I remove everything from the folder it works....

Where and what are you moving?

Moving or copying? If you cut them the game will not work.

Did you have steam install your games to your desktop?

If not, then why are you moving your game files from your steam directory, to your desktop?

If you move the game from where it was originally installed to, of course it will not work since none of the files are where it thinks they are.  I would choose a logical location for your steam library (not on your desktop), move the files there, then "Delete local files" (which will do nothing, just lets you install again), and then install to the new library.  It will detect all the files in there and not actually have to download anything.  The game will then work and your desktop will be clear.
