EVGA FTW colour change

I'm going to get myself a GTX 950 and I've found myself the EVGA FTW edition pretty cheap. The only thing that is stopping me is that god damn FTW logo in blue. My system is black and gold and blue is totally out of line. I know the SSC or SC+ editions have better colour to match, but there's no backplate which I kinda would like and performance is (marginally) worse.

 

Is there any way to change the colour of that or would I just have to deal with it?

I know, my initial plan was get an MSI Gaming and paint the red bits gold but can't source a cheap one. Can the FTW bit be removed to paint?

just get whichever card you like the looks the best

the performance difference is negligible

 

and whether the extra cost is worth the looks you'll get is totally up to you

but i would pay more just to have my computer look better

The FTW is cheaper than the others! I just wish that thing was white

You can get a gtx 950 from GALAX or from MSI both ones white, not sure if it's in your budget:
