Hi LTT Community

Recently i've been working on a SMTP server. I got a windows server 2012 R2 Essentials machine on wich i plan to run it.

There are many tutorials on setting up the server but somehow i cant get it to work.

Any way of doing it the easy way?

Yes, change to CentOS and install Zimbra.

I don't have any experience with Windows mail servers because I don't want that kind of headache (and I'm a full time Windows admin so that's saying something). CentOS + Exim or https://github.com/mail-in-a-box/mailinabox and call it a day.

Install Active Directory and Exchange, boom.
