You can do this for under 1500 easy. Under 1000 if you had to even.

Will you be playing any games?

Do you really want to spend all your budget even if you won't see any performance increase in those tasks you mentioned?

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

Well you don't need to spend anywhere near that if that's a US based build

Are you doing any gaming?

Here optimized for silence with a workstation GPU just cuz although it does have 4 display port outputs and will be low power and optimized for your workflow most likely, and a 950 NVME SSD that'll be really fast, just double check that the M.2 on the board is PCI-e it should be anyways

Spend the rest of your money on a 4k display array or something, or a professional 4k display with 100% adobe RGB that's 32"+

Thank you. Is gtx 980ti bad for multimedia works? And any recommendation on the display?

No, but it's entirely pointless for your workload lol, if you want to do gaming anyways and you mostly play dota 2 go for a 390, and a 1080p 144hz Free-sync display for your gaming display. and then still buy the high end large 4k display for productivity

390

1080p 144hz TN free-sync $269

https://pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-g2460pf

1440p 144hz IPS Free-sync $550 A nicer display naturally

Different price brackets, but the 390 is going to be of better value, the Fury(non X) is the one that beats out the 980

But the 390 will be fine for 1440p gaming at medium-high settings, plus current Nvidia cards don't really support DX12 too well, while AMD cards can gain up to 20% more performance in the best case scenario. In the recent hitman game a 390 is reportedly beating a 980ti under DX12

and a G-sync display is going to run you more, usually by enough that would have gotten you a better AMD GPU with the same display specs

390, more wins at 1440p + though
