Hey there

I'm a 14 year old turning 15 on May 25th. I will be getting a new phone (currently have a iPhone 4, old, I know.) and I hate it. I am stuck between the Galaxy S7 and Nexus 6p. Let me explain what I like and what I don't like about the 2.

S7 Likes: Waterproofing (I have terrible luck with electronics so this could come in handy), FEATURES (Upgraded from a 2013 Nexus 7 to a Tab S2 and the features on there are awesome), the camera is awesome too, I'm into photography and my Canon T4i is too big to carry around everywhere. The battery life seems good too. To finish, the expandable storage is a nice to have.

S7 Dislikes: Updates (Still stuck on 5.1.1 on my Tab S2), the glass back (my terrible luck once again), the speaker is pretty bad according to reviews and in a bad spot. This is all I can think of for now, I'll add more later if I remember.

6P Likes: Nexus Experience (Updates etc), Camera is great too (especially in low light), USB-C(can be a pro and a con!), design, battery life, speakers, and price, currently cheaper than the S7 on a plan.

6P Dislikes: USB-C because of the fact that I literally don't own a single USB-C accessory, size might be a little too big for me (5X has a bad battery life so I'm staying away).

Those are my two first choices, if I can't get those for whatever reason, I'm thinking the GS6? Also for you guys wondering, I'll be able to afford the plans :P getting my phone on Wind, 35$ for unlimited data (2gigs of full speed data), unlimited call, text, and whatever else. Check their site if you'd like.

What do you guys think, 6P or GS7?

Thanks

I currently have the s7 and i like it a ton, i do have a lifeproof on it (im terrified of breaking a $700+ phone), it is a good phone, resolution good and that helps when looking at pictures.

Yeah, planning on getting a glass screen protector and a Speck case. Thanks for your input :)

I'd go with the S7

If your really into photography, I'd go with the S7. The 6P has a great camera, but no OIS, which is a huge flaw in 2016. I don't understand why some manufacturers just don't provide OIS in they're flagships. If you hate the glass design you can easily buy a case, bumper or a skin. Skin would be recommended to retain the slim form factor, but it does leaves the sides exposed. Updates can be a real frustration in Android. I don't understand why carriers have control over updates, when all they do is take they're damn time choosing what bloatware to add.

Thanks for your input! I'm definitely planning on getting a case and after seeing the 6P fail a durability test, leaning more towards the S7.
