Blocking users from copying files

Is it possible to stop users from copying files on a share drive.. but still able to edit them ?

some NAS units have a "no download" option, but i dont know if it is available in windows aswell

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know, there are three types of permissions - No access, read and read/write.

What OS do you use for creating the shares?

I need it for windows 7. even if there is a Third party application out there that can allow the user to access and edit the file , but not copy it. .. We use windows server 08 still.

Go to the file share right click and then select "options", once you've done that click on security and then select the user(s) or group and click on it. After that click the edit button un-tick where it says "write"
