G 1/4" is the thread size, on the blocks themselves - not the ID and OD of the compression fitting. What are those measurements of your fittings? They need to match.

what size fittings are they, g1/4 is the threads not the id/od

10mm id x 13mm od

not 100% sure what your referring to here but i think your trying to put 3/8 inch tubing over a 1/2 inch barb

5/8 tubing is around 15 to 16mm od, so your tubing doesn't fit ur fittings. You should be fine using 3/8 tubing on those fittings.

as long as they are barbs not compression

 

they are both 3/8 ID its the OD thats different

Right, sry. My retailer only sells compression fittings, so I didn't think of barbs.
