Is there any way to muffle my PSU without killing it temp wise? By the way I have it fan side down if that helps.

Replace the fan - not ideal

Get new PSU that's quiet - more ideal

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Like what Auxafly said, there's not much you can do other than buying a new one.

Unless you know what you're doing, it's not recommended to open up a PSU to replace the fan. Even if you do know what you're doing, it's likely you'll void the warranty by doing so. I suppose if your warranty is already over, and you got the confidence and spare time to learn all the bits to not kill your PSU, go ahead and replace the fan.

Know any good fanless PSUs?

You don't need fanless PSU. Just grab a high quality one. They'll most likely have a semi-fanless mode. Meaning the fans won't spin until a certain temperature or load is hit. Even then, with high quality ones, the fans are barely audible when spinning.

I personally own an RM750x, very happy with it. Due to me being in europe, it was one of the more cost effective choice, although I hear it's not that way in the US. In any case. Any tier 1 PSU from this list should do fine. Just double check with reviews (such as JohnnyGURU) to make sure they do operate semi-fanless at low to mid loads.

I used to own a RM850 (replaced with RM750x soon after), the fans never spun on load with a 4790K + 980 Ti :P

Edit: Wait never mind, they are expensive as hell.

just get a power supply that doesn't spin the fan until its a certain load. mine doesnt spin until its at around 300W and even at this load the fan doesnt spin max, it only spins for a few seconds in order to maintain the temperature of the psu.
