Hello all! Long time watcher, first time poster!

Anyway, I've started a new project which basically I'm going to be spraying my new build to have the appearance of the Asiimov skin from Counter Strike and I have started a blog page for it on my website which can be found here: http://tomhegarty.co.uk/projectasiimov/

TL;DR - I'm starting a new build while buying parts every month I get paid, and I'm looking for help and/ or suggestions for

  • Painting the Case itself
  • Theming the case/ hardware
  • suggestions on better hardware

My full new build can be found here: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/d8kVt6

I've purchased the Case which is an Enthoo Evolv Itx, and 5 Noctua NF-F12 fans, so those are the things that will be staying the same.

I'm really looking for useful tips and suggestions and I couldn't think of anyone better for the job than you lovely people.

Thanks. :D

-Tom

I'll just pop in the suggestion of getting a better PSU. Corsair's RM series are overpriced for their quality - get a EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 instead. A GTX 980Ti won't need a 850W PSU unless you're SLI'ing (which is impossible for a Mini ITX build).

Good luck!

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

For painting the case, just google asiimov template and use what you like the most. Just plan it out on the case then spray paint it with the blue tape thing to block the other places with different colors. Trust me bro, here's a few examples

Oh right, I can think of a few for that. In fact I think I've seen a few in halo 5 as weapons skins.

That's actually super useful, Thank you so much! :D I've got a couple profiles of the case on Photoshop for some planning out, so this will really help.

Maybe take a look at the NZXT Kraken x61 also as a cooler due to more aesthetic reasons (the waterblock has an LED which would perhaps suit you nicely)

Thats really nice, but I'm concerned about the tubing coming out of the side of the block. Has it been used in any Itx systems? Because usually the ram slots on itx mobos are very close to the CPU socket.

Update on the rig!

Got my Noctua NF-F12's come today and the Phantek Fan Controller.

The controller is really nice and fits snug into the case, but it's risen a couple questions.

1. My fan headers are 4 pin but my controller is 3 pin, the 4 pins can fit but is this a problem?

2. Will it be fine plugging my upcoming closed-loop pump into the fan controller?

Thanks for the help so far all! :D
