Headphone jacks - need help

Hi I need help. I saw a headphone on sale. an sgh7980. I like it. for my PC
.But the thing is I also want to use it for my phone, a Note 5, but sadly the connector of the headphone is a usb.

Which one do you think will work? or work better? an OTG cable? or this adapter?( usb to 3.5 jack)

TYA.

I wouldn't say so. I am no expert on this type of thing though. I wouldn't think that the usb port on the phone would recognise USB headphones.

You cant go from usb to jack since that is like sending a digital signal and poof it's analog, it doesn't work that way.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Then I don't think any of them would work.

Yeah you can send power through it, but not sound.

Yeah. I don't know why they would opt too charge through the 3.5mm port. Why not just a standard...

Because they are stupid and just want to make money. Just like the iPhone charger in the EU it is a must that all smartphones has micro usb or 3.1 or else they will get a fine, but because they make so much money of selling lightning cables, they just pay the fine every year.
