Headphone problem

Hey all, on my PC I have the headphone jack and the microphone jack, and I have a pair of wired beats solo ro something (My brothers hand-me-downs). It only has 1 cable and when I plug it into the headphone jack I get audio but no microphone, and the beats has a microphone on the lead? Is there any way I can use the mic on the beats? I don't get audio when I plug them into the microphone jack. If you need me to explain properly then reply asking me too

On the motherboard I also have a pink jack, a green jack and a blue jack (I don't know if jack is the right word but it's where you plug the headphones in)

The headphones have a 4 pole plug, for combined audio out/mic in jacks commonly found on smartphones. The jacks on your mobo are split, one for mic in (pink), one for audio out (green) and one for line in (blue). You need a splitter like this: http://www.amazon.com/Maeline-Female-Plated-Headphone-Splitter/dp/B00PYZ2BT4/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1460747000&sr=1-4&keywords=microphone+splitter . Don't worry about the blue jack.

Or your mobo a combination port which supports both mic and audio. but most not
