Benq monitor problem

Hello,

I have a problem with my BenQ GL2250-T. This Wednesday my monitor started acting weird. Since then I have a white line through my screen.

The monitor still worked but only with that white line through it. Today I powered up my monitor and all of a sudden it gives me this weird screen where the top part works fine but the rest gives a mess of pixels that starts of black and after some time fades to white. I've tried multiple things such as disconnecting the cables and waiting a bit and trying a different computer and a different GPU. But nothing has helped so far. It might be a problem with a capacitor or something but it seems to me that the bezel of this monitor is glued together so I can't take it apart.

I hope anyone knows a fix for this problem. All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey, have you tried a different cable as well?

It looks like the panel is partially dead :/ is it under warranty?

I have tried a different cable and a different computer with a different GPU as well but nothing has helped so far.

I have this monitor for 4 years now and it had a 3 year warranty. so no, unfortunately it doesn't have a warranty anymore.

Well, white lines are usually signs of a dead/semi-dead panel. Could very well be capacitors, but this is way too technical for me to give you any solid advice.

If you feel like tinkering, perhaps you can find panel replacements for your specific model online. It shouldn't be too hard to replace it, but I would probably look for video instructions of how to open the screen up. That, or you just buy a new screen altogether :/

Well, I think it's dead then. I think i'm going to save up for a Dell Ultrasharp U2515H. It's not that expensive and still you get solid 1440p at 60Hz. Thanks for your help! ^_^
