think it might be time to move my boot disk to an ssd

just booted my pc up and for the last 20 mins its been on 100% disk usage think its time to move to ssd for boot drive :P

SSD wont fix that issue.

Look at what's causing that disk usage, and if it should be.

i think it was just one drive and google drive syncing since i haven't had it on for about a week or so there was a lot of things missing also steam seems to be doing the same thing probably for the same reasons

I get similar on my work laptop every Monday. Everything decides it needs to update itself then. Going SSD could make it go faster... personally I don't let Steam auto-start on boot and only run it when I need it, although having said that it sure likes to update things if I haven't started it in a while...

Is that WD Red 3TB your boot device? If so then maybe *you should* do that :)

yeah i went for a red because i tend to leave it on for up to three weeks at a time so snce its designed for 24/7 use i thought it may be advantageous

i only get this occasionally coz like i said i tend to just leave the pc on all the time anyway i dont think its the end of the world tbh im only at 4% ish usage now everything has settled down

When you migrate your OS to a different drive, is it as simple as Ctrl-X Ctrl-Ving the Windows files? Or do you have to create a bootable drive?
