So a few days ago my old HP dv6 crashed on me (the motherboard is dead because if static) so I am in the market for a new laptop. Seeing as I'll be using this guy for atleast 5-6 years I need it to be kinda future proof. My biggest requirement is that it should support thunderbolt 3 so I can upgrade my GPU from time to time as the GPU and ram never seen to be big problems. I would love to hear everyone's suggestions and please take price into account as I am not filthy rich but I  know due to TB3 being new not many laptops support it.

that budget is for the laptop only or you want an external dock to come with it?

and also a gpu as well?

it converts to about 1k usd so your options might be very limited

the dock and external gou I will buy later much later (that's why I was hoping that the system had a decent gou in it so I could still game till then cause the total budget will come around to 1 lakh (Indian money terms Google if you don't understand) again the dock and external gpu will be bought much later. I want to get a machine that can last me through my collage days and maybe a year after as well (I am in the 11 th grade which means I have about 2 years to go till collage ) so in total with thunderbolt 3 this machine should be in theory 6-7 years future proof till it will need a new cpu

They seem like good options but I don't think they come with gpu (other than the igpu and like I said it will be ATLEAST a year till I can get the egpu and dock

yeah no gpu with these but with a little bit of hacking you could make it work with a razer core if dell don't decide to natively support it

I lurk a lot

I think there will be more egpu docks in the future so I am not worried about the support and dell (unlike hp ) have pretty good third party support in my opinion
