Here's the story: I bought a motherboard from bookmans (which means it's used  and everything was in box including manual and drivers disc so good, then just bought everything new including a FX 4350 and a power supply and I had a working graphics card I was using in another computer since my board doesn't have any type of video output.

I put it all together and the fans and everything turns on and the graphics card is powered on as well only problem: No display and no beeps from the computer I tried everything including using different ram, taking one stick and changing slots trying 3 different video cards and 2 power supplies, jumping CMOS and taking CMOS battery out and putting it back in. Everything and nothing has changed even change the mobo speaker and no beeps still. Is my motherboard bad? I really don't know hopefully someone can help here are the hardware I was using

MSI 970 GAMING Motherboard

AMD FX 4350 Cpu

ASUS RADEON HD 5770 gpu

the other 2 were ATI 5770

Visiontek 2600 pro

LEPA 350 other power supply was from a working gateway gaming build

I also used 3 different types of screens with different DVI cables and HDMI

im not running all 3 graphics just tested them each to make sure my first wasnt going bad.

Not the best build by a long shot... The PSU might not be enough though.

The PSU hasn't got enough juice to power the card... And the rest of the system.

I agree with these guys. If we're right, your PC will post just fine if you remove the GPU. Obviously it won't give any picture, but it'll beep to indicate the POST passed just with issues regarding GPU. Also your num/caps/scroll locks will start toggling too whereas now the don't.

A single 5770 needs at least a 450W PSU. I'm assuming the 970 does not have any on board graphics to test.

no it doesnt
and do you think a 500W would work with it, i used this site: http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator and it told me with my hardware even if i only ran an hour a day I'd still be using 361W and if its being run 24/7 that i will be using nearly 390W will a 500W be fine, to little or over kill?

To find out if your PSU can handle these specs, try going to this website: http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

Overkill is better than anything. If it were me and considering the price I'd get at least a 600 or 650 so I'd be ready for a video card upgrade. If that is not ever going to happen the go with a 500. If you're in Canada NCIX has some sweet sales this week, like an EVGA 550 for 40 bucks
