So I was in the middle of enjoying myself, playing some Dark Souls 3, since it just came out only a few days ago, and in the middle of my game play, everything froze. My music, my game, and all things keyboard related were unresponsive, so it black screened and came back on. I didn't think anything of it until the mainscreen came up and said it had an error loading windows, of course I try to reboot, maybe it;s just being finicky like usual, but then I read the bottom line "this was caused due to a missing component" Welp....

So I went to my bios, and it shows that the Samsung 840 EVO SSD is still connected on it's PCIE slot, but it has disappeared from the boot menu. I've only had this thing for maybe 6 months... has it really died on me that quickly? Appreciate any help, I am quite upset atm, I believe my warentee on it is shot, and if this is really the case of a bad SSD, I shame samsung.

Why shame them? Their products are great and the warranty covers these random defects that emerge later.

It's possible that the boot sector got corrupted for some reason. See if you can reinstall the Windows.

Well, I suppose you're right on that one, it has a 36 month warranty, and hopefully buying from newegg didn't effect that. I'm still hopeful that maybe it's just a small detail I'm missing and it still does work...
