Hello I'm a somewhat knowledged PC enthusiast and I'm thinking of upgrading my aging AMD Phenom II x4 910 2.6ghz with 95W TDP, AM3 Socket CPU to a slightly less aging AMD Phenom II x6 1055T 2.8ghz with 95W TDP and an AM3 Socket as well. Problem is, I have a weird semi-ancient Pegatron M2N68-LA (Narra6) (Revision 6.02) motherboard and I don't know if it'll be compatible but I really hope it is, it doesn't say anything about x6 core CPUs on the driver website so I'm not sure. Also kindof non-topic I'll be replacing the current GTX 8800 768MB GDDR5 to a GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 and I have a 600w psu from thermal take.

Any and all help is appreciated!

jesus dude, you'd be better off just getting a new board and cpu, unless you're getting that cpu for like $100.

not only does it look old, but it looks cheaply made and I doubt the VRM would be able to tolerate a 6 core processor.

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.

Spoiler

Intel i7-4790k undervolt, NVidia EVGA GTX 980Ti SC Reference, NVidia EVGA GTX 480 SC Reference, ASUS Z97-A/USB3.1, SK Hynix SL308 240GB, WD Green 2TB, Hynix 1333 8GB (4x2), XFX Core Pro 850w, NH-U12S, 4x NF-F12's, Sennheiser HD 558's, Blue Yeti, Corsair K70 (red), Logitech MX Master, XBox One Controller, ASUS VG248QE 144Hz, HP 2010i
