Going to experiment with Openstack

I doubt it, the cpus are rated around 6-10watts and are passively cooled by default

Those are just motherboard stand offs, and he appears to have stacked them by screwing 3 into eachother.

By the way, where did you get those poles for the motherboard? I’d like to try that.

Serial is actually still used alot. to be honest in some cases (such as in a retail computer/POS) Serial is actually preferred as it has a locking connector, unlike USB. (i.e. if your integrating eftpos terminals to POS software - Quest, PC-EFTPOS, etc etc).

i can confirm this, my boss needs a serial port but we dont have any

your com1 port on 95% of motherboards that have a com port. get a serial header and it should just work (DB9 does anyway), it is normally next the the front panel audio.
