About Ethernet cable..

Hi im new here, dont know if im posting in the right place.

Want to ask why is that when i unplug my ethernet cable off my system, when i try to power it the pc is running but my display stays black with a number like 90ish at bottom right corner and a _ sign top left corner

Welcome aboard! Now, about your cable, is it the Ethernet or is it the display cable that you unplugged. I don't think unplugging a Ethernet cable would make the screen go black. If you're positive it's the Ethernet cable, it could be something goofy in your BIOS. In my case, updating the BIOS made my overclocked cpu and ram stable on the new one when it wasn't on the old one.

For the heck of it, just try going into your BIOS and disabling your network card and see if the computer will boot. Seems like something is messed with your BIOS if it only boots on a closed connection...
