My PC decided to not output video on my monitor one morning. My monitor says it detects no video signal. My PC has never done this. The computer runs and turns on the led lights on the front panel. Fans working and HDD spinning. My video card is also running. These are the steps I have taken so far. I connected the monitor to another PC and it worked just fine. I've tried multiple cables. DVI, HDMI, VGA. I have tried using the on-board video on my PC without the video card installed in the PCI Express slot. I have also tried taking out the RAM. My motherboard beeps when no RAM is installed. I tried booting the PC with one stick of RAM. I tried this method with every memory slot. I even remounted my CPU. I have also unplugged and reconnected my PSU to all the hardware. Is my motherboard bricked? Also, would a non-functioning HDD cause my OS to mess up and not show anything at all? I would be glad to receive any form of help.

Q: "Will a non functioning HDD cause my OS to mess up?"

A: If the hard drive is literally NOT FUNCTIONING then no you will not be able to boot into your OS

Have you tried resetting your card. On some Nvidia cards their a reset button somewhere. If you could tell me what your is card I might be able to find it out for you.

I'm pretty sure it works. Well I can feel it spin. I have an EVGA GTX 560 1 GB (non-Ti)

I don't have another motherboard to try this on. I'm convinced that the motherboard is bricked. I tried pretty much everything already except for that.

If you want to test it out, just go on amazon buy a cheap 20 dollar board to test it out before you go out and get a good board.

I will try to keep looking for solutions but I can't waste money like that. I might as well do a full cpu and motherboard upgrade. still rocking lga 775 xD
