Depends on the OS.  But, in display settings, if it detects multiple displays, there will be options for Extend and Duplicate.

but I do not think my laptop support hdmi in or vga in. Teamviwer have very high lag

As far as I know, you can't.  the display ports  (not saying displayport specifically) can't be used as an input.  using software to stream your desktop to the laptop monitor maybe??? I'd say it is a sketchy setup.  If you figure it out.  I'd love to know how you did it.

side note for 3rd monitor: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/acer-monitor-umvh6aa003 great monitor. relatively cheap, looks beautiful.

Well, you can send the image and extend, duplicate, or show it onto there.  There are ways to do it, but as for the lag you'd have to mod it.  You can use laptops as second monitors as long as the laptop is functioning.  You just need to run the right capable between the GPUs.

he wants to use it like a independent moniter, as in have google on his laptop and his game on his desktop monitor and be able to use his desktop mouse to control the laptop, just like its a moniter you'd buy from the store

CNET and others have it where you can, unless they're really lying. o.O What does your laptop have port wise for display?  It doesn't matter as long as it fits into the 2 GPUs, according to CNET.  But, the laptop has to have an external port for hdmi or vga.  You can get whatever fits onto your desktop's GPU.  They have adapter cables like that.

some laptop have hdmi in with you can just connect with them use a hdmi, which is not the case of my computer
