1000 CAD build

My friend are planning to build a computer with 1000 Canadian dollar, (less is better)

Our plan is Lga 1150 motherboard, used i5-3xxx and used 780ti. 600w PSU

 

DO you guys have some suggestion and advice?

LGA1150 i5's are i5-4xxx.  Not i5-3xxx, which LGA1155 CPU's (ie: Ivy Bridge).

 

Don't know if you'll find much viable Haswell gear on eBay, once you go through the trouble of importing it to Canada.

Im seeing a used 780 ti is around $350 where I am, and it seems a R9 390 would outperform it and have 8GB of VRAM vs 3GB and be only $330, new.
