Hello. I have a MacBook Air 11" (Mid-2012.) First, the "T" key keeps falling out, not much of a problem. Next, the battery needs to be replaced soon. Again, not much of a problem. Another problem is this white dot on my screen, but it is really only noticeable on white backrounds, so it is not much of a problem. But the real problem is this, the trackpad occasionally double clicks when I singe click, and sometimes it would freeze up while I scroll. I do click a lot with the trackpad, so I think it finally worn out. Anyone have an idea what causes this and how how fix it?

Thanks.

EDIT: I just noticed that if I press down a little on the trackkpad, it clicks.

Seeing as your hardware is older, could it be the Air just not able to keep up with you? I have a friend, and he has had that issue; but it depends on you.

If you're getting the battery replaced and the T key fixed, ask the service about the track-pad as well.

In this thread on Stack Exchange, a user recommended resetting the power controller, or using a different user account. Have a look and let know if it worked.

Apple, Apple causes this

Aside from that it sounds like you just have bad luck and have various unrelated issues.

The white dot may be burn in, but more likely its a dead spot which means you'd have to replace the screen.

The battery will die over time, thats not something unusually, but you may try a power utility to prolong it.

The T-key is either a bad plastic clip or warped clip, you could try a very small amount of adhesive applied carefully.

The double click may be a bad driver or more likely is do to a bad connection or 'echo' like effect caused by the track pad since it clicks, again this is just something that a pro would need to replace.

Resetting the SMC did not work. It might be a hardware issue, due to me clicking a lot on the trackpad.
