I have a gigabyte windforce GTX 780 that doesn't seem to be working. When I try to use it I will get no video output. When I use other video card though my computer works just fine. I have sent this card for RMA twice now and it has come back to work for a few days then start to fail again. I don't know if the problem lies in the video card or something else in my computer. Here are my computer specs please help.

Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2

Intel Core i7 4790K

Corsair Vengeance ram

Corsair AX760i PSU

At this point in time I have no idea what could be causing the problem. I just want to know if I buy a new video card will it work fine in my system.

Does it stop working while you are using it, or between startups?

So originally it started as a problem only while in game where my screen would go black and it would say drivers had crashed and recovered then the game would come back and everything would be fine. It got to the point where this was happening every minute and my screen would glitch out and then my computer would shut off. After this it would have problems even while idling. Also while under load my graphics card never got above 60 degrees.

A few suggestion:

1. Rule out motherboard PCIE slots. Try swapping slots and see if one slots works better than the other. If thats the case, motherboard at fault.

2. Rule out motherboard BIOS. THIS IS A LAST RESORT. DONT TRY UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. Try updating BIOS and see if it improves.

3. Rule out PSU. Change another PSU and see if problems still persist. I doubt it since Corsair is a reputable brand but no harm trying.

4. Reinstall drivers.

The Internet is invented by cats. Why? Why else would it have so much cat videos?
