So I've been recently trying to find an old cheap graphics card for a pc im  building. I'm aware gtx 560 ti and hd6870 are better then gtx 470. But does the gtx 470 have good drivers or are they showing their age? I can usually find better buying options for the gtx 470.

My GTX 970 carries me to global.

The 470 makes a great furnace :D - make sure you have a beefy PSU for the 400/500 series of GPUs

I would avoid fermi as much as possible tbh.  And those cards aren't going to give you very good performance anymore.  I'd honestly look for a used 660 Ti or something like that.

I have a 550 ti in one of my rigs and held up pretty good actually.

My GTX 970 carries me to global.

well I mean, I guess.  But honestly the furthest back I'd go is early kepler, as even those are really starting to show their age now.

How much are you looking to spend? If you are trying to spend $20 or less then it may be worth it. Don't expect to much. Also if you don't already have a beefy enough psu then get something less power hungry for more money and spend less on your psu.

Yeah I'm trying to go as cheap as possible. I have 500w evga and an old celeron processor.

My GTX 970 carries me to global.
