Can't install intel haxm

The intel haxm program installer shows that my pc dosnt support Intel virtualization technology, and the worst part is i can't seem to find any option in my bios to enable it also the turn off or on windows feature option dosn't show the hyper-v menu.

 

My spcifications :

 

Amd -fx 8320

 

Gigabyte 970a-ds3p

 

1tb of hdd with 100 gb partitioned for ubuntu and rest to windows.

You've got an AMD CPU, it wont have Intel's VT (Virtualization technology) on it.

It does have AMD's VT though (SVM(Super Virtual Machine) I think) which isn't nearly as well supported as Intel.

That's because you don't have an Intel CPU. So you won't be able to use Intel virtualization technology

I want to install intel haxm for android studio it is required for the avd to work, it used to work very well and don't remember it asking to install haxm but now all of a sudden it dosn't and i have installed virtual machines before it never gave me a problem before.

Intel HAXM specifically uses Intel's Hyper-v tech, so you'd need a compatible Intel CPU to use it.

 

Couldn't tell you why it's worked in the past, I don't use AVD (or develop for android)
