New build any good?

filledk

Hey all,

is this build good?

can my RAM get in the Motherboard with that cooler? (my biggest concern)
and is the cooler good enough for Overclocking? (my bigger concern)

i know, 1 RAM stick is baaad, but im gonna upgrade to 16GB or even 32GB in the future (gotta keep that RAM-Disk maxed out)
mostly its for playing, like CSGO BF4 BFH and OverWatch (when it comes out)

390>970, the RMX series tend to be a little over priced, is there anything from seasonic or xfx that seems good for cheaper?

@filledk I have that cooler. I can tell you when I burned my CPU in to check for stability when I first got my system. My i5 3570k @ stock never got above 70 degrees Celsius during my 24 hour test with prime95. So Id say you might have some head room there for over clocking that chip.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Allow me to rephrase, it usually is. I don´t know for sure. And I mean overpriced.

the R9 390 is a faster GPU, has double the VRAM, and is usually the same price or cheaper than a 970. Other than it seems good. If you not going a lot of stuff like video editing or rendering you might be just as happy with a 6500k instead and save some money (you could even get a better GPU if you did this)
