Old pc upgrade

Hi!
My sister has a PC which she's planning to video edit with.
It is pretty basic but she wants to use it until she can buy a new one.

CPU: Intel Pentium E5500 (Somewhere I have a spare Core2Quad Q8300 which I'll stick in)
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro (rev. 1)
RAM: 4GB
Mobo: Gigabyte G41m-es2l
PSU: LiteOn 300W
Graphics:Nvidia Geforce 210

150GB Hitachi HD

Besides buying an SSD, and installing windows 10 on it, is there anything else that I can do to make it run smoother and better on video editing? (I don't think that buying a graphics card will be the right thing to do, because the next computer will run an AMD A10, with the integrated R7...)

Thanks!

Better psu, if you plan on putting in a Q8300, get an after market cooler, oc it a bit, toss in a 750ti. More ram.
