I was recently in need of a new psu to support a graphics card upgrade to my dad's old pc. My friend gave me one of his old power supplies and when I got it, i realized it was an offbrand psu, and I've heard that offbrand psus suck.

I got a LSP Ultra 650W and I was wondering if I need to be concerned about my house burning down or my components getting fried because of the psu.

I don't have experience with that particular power supply, but from what I've seen about LSP its not as bad as it gets.

It's certainly no Antec HCG, but there's far worse psu's out there.

its better than the last shitty psu I reviewed, I'll put it that way.

Usually if I've never heard of it I stray away from recommending it. So I'd check out the PSU whitelist in my signature and look through there for some options.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Hmm... Looks pretty old.

It's 38A on the 12V, so it's more like a 500W than a 650W. It really depends on what you want to run off of it. If it's only something like a 750Ti I don't see why you couldn't live with it.
