UK RMA?

Does anyone know if i can RMA a MSI R9 290? I can buy one second hand for £130 and its less than 3 years old so it has a warranty so i can just rma it and get a new one, but i don't actually know if i can rma in the UK...?

Yes of course, if its under warranty with MSI for 3 years, then if something happens you just have to contact MSI

Do check that the warranty is transferable or that you have the original receipt, or they might not help when it comes time to claim

 

In the UK depending on where it was bought from, it could be possible to return it to the store it was bought from and they will handle the RMA on your behalf

What i was thinking is, i can buy it for £130 then rma it for a brand new one

You can only return it IF its faulty or broken, and they might repair it or give you a refurbished model

How can you lie? you have to send it back to them for examination :P

Ehh not always friend rma'd both of his 290s and got new ones without any questions asked, they had coil whine which isn't under warranty,

Strange, I guess yo could get lucky, but equally if the card works they might just tell you to fuck off

 

at least coil whine is a genuine issue
