Cpu cooler compatible?

just bought a new cpu and the latches seem to not reach the clips on the mobo by a millimetre or 2. Maybe im not doing it right, or is it not compatible? How do i get this to work? My mobo is asus thats as far as i know.

you put the mounting hardware it came with on the board right?

you just have to push it. coolers can be hard to push into place and it might even feel like you're breaking it. like the 212 evo i had to push so hard my board was bening and i thought it was gonna snap.

some are just harder if its that close you should be able to just put it harder and be fine

I don't know how much AMD sockets are compatible with each other say style Intels are. Your socket is FM2+ which isn't supported by that Deepcool cooler. Or rather its not mentioned in spec listing. Did you use cooler before with same mobo?

It supports Am3 which is the same as FM2 for mounting coolers. AMD has been sticking to the same system for a while and it's pretty nice of them.

Make sure the latch is in the unlocked position and to hook the other side before the side with the lever.
