New Gaming PC Build

PCRook

Ditch Windows 10 Pro. Go with Windows 10 Home. It's a gaming PC, not a business or workstation PC, so you won't be able to take advantage of all the other stuff that Pro offers.

I would suggest a better psu and a bigger monitor. What is your budget ?

The majority of the build looks good aside from the PSU. The quality of Corsair's CX series is not good enough to be paired with a GPU like the GTX 970. Any SeaSonic or XFX PSU would substitute nicely.

Also, I'd get an IPS monitor rather a small TN one. Something like this would be a nice choice.

For windows and office, go to reddit windows marketplace to purchase, should be around $20-30 each. Use that $$$ you'll save for an r9 390x/nano or gtx 980.

The spec I did above is pretty good if you don't mind an AMD graphics card.

It has room for a bigger/higher res monitor. You could swap for an IPS screen although a TN panel has a faster response time which would be good for FPS games. An IPS will look better for other things such as watching movies and general desktop use.

The Asus MG279Q is a 1440p 144Hz IPS Freesync Monitor so it is a good all rounder, and the R9 390 should handle most games ok at that resolution. You would have to go with a cheaper mouse/keyboard though to accommodate it into your budget.
