running a vpn server for lan for ps2

hi everyone ive been want to play ps2 multiplayer games with friends thee only catch is there is an ocean in between me and them as i live in new zealand and they live in Australia

 

the plan is to run server 2012 and to run the vpn server component and to add a second Ethernet adapter and bridge the vpn virtual  with the second adapter and connect the second adapter to the back of the ps2

 

the questions are...

is it possible

are pings going to make it unplayable and if so is there tweaks that can help it improve (ping usually sit around 150-200ms)
